Thursday we were #mermaidsontour and headed the hefty distance of 3 miles (and a whole 1.4 miles from Katie’s house) down the road from Tooting Bec Lido to Brockwell Lido. Despite its closeness we rarely head down there so it was fun to visit. It is a beautiful lido but it is that little bit further away, a little bit shorter at 50m long and the opening times can be somewhat sporadic.
We were representing SLSC at the inaugural Brockwell Spring Relays put on by Brockwell Swimmers. There was 7 relay races in total. We swam in 2 each, including Katie swimming an amazing backstroke leg in the medley relay.
Unfortunately we were beaten by pro masters swimming team Spencer in most.. ok all events. The other teams swimming were Sepertine, Windrush and Brockwell.
It was a great evening and really had a summer has started feel to it.
